Wetherby EWI Pilots the First UK SWIGA Scheme

On 1 October 2026, Wetherby Wall Systems Limited will begin trading as ROCKWOOL Wall Systems. Our trading name is changing, but our people, products and services remain the same.

Wetherby are delighted to announce that one of their Insulated Render Systems is being used on the first UK SWIGA scheme.

SWIGA (Solid Wall Insulation Guarantee Agency) was established to offer householders an independent, uniform and dependable guarantee, covering professionally installed external, internal or hybrid solid wall insulation solutions to ALL hard to treat properties not just solid wall properties.

The Wetherby External Wall Insulation System incorporating 60mm K5-EWB Phenolic
Insulation with a Wetherby Dry Dash Finish, will be installed by Hamilton (Building Contractors) Ltd to Wimpey No-Fines properties on behalf of Chesterfield Borough Council. The thermal properties of the Phenolic insulation will offer a reduction in the U-value of the homes from 1.98 W/m²K to 0.28 W/m²K. The residents will reap the benefits of warmer homes with lower heating bills and also be given the peace of mind that the insulation system will be guaranteed for 25 years.
